# Reports

> Use standard reports and report packs to review, publish, export, and share portfolio information

## Overview

Reports help you turn portfolio records into review-ready views. Use standard reports for quick analysis, then combine the most useful views into report packs for committee papers, client updates, internal reviews, or recurring distribution.

There are two main reporting areas:

* **Standard reports**: individual portfolio views such as allocation, holdings, transactions, income, investment returns, daily value, investment map, and FX.
* **Report packs**: curated collections of reports and custom pages that can be saved, published, downloaded, emailed, and scheduled.

## Before you start

Confirm the reporting period, audience, and scope. Check whether the report should cover the full organisation or a narrower view such as one entity, category, or tag.

## Basic and advanced use

* **Basic use**: open a standard report, filter it, and export the result.
* **Advanced use**: build report packs, add commentary pages, publish snapshots, and schedule delivery for recurring reporting.

## Standard reports

Go to **Reports > Standard reports** to open a pre-built report. The report library shows how many reports are available, how many you have starred, and how many match your current search. Use the search field to narrow the list, then open a report from its card.

Mark frequently used reports with the star on each report card. Starred reports appear first in the library and are also easier to reach from your dashboard.

Available standard reports include:

* **Category allocation**: see how market value is split across categories and subcategories.
* **Investments table**: review holdings in a detailed table with filters, customisable columns, and an Income column for dividends, interest, and other income allocations.
* **Transactions report**: build an export-ready transaction ledger with date, investment, type, and column filters.
* **Income report**: review dividends, interest, realised gains and losses, fees, and capital repayments in one export-ready schedule.
* **Investment returns**: review period return, ROI, purchases, sales, realised gains, unrealised gains, income, and the latest price update by investment.
* **Daily value**: review daily profit or loss, the investments that drove each day, transaction counts, and weekly summaries.
* **Daily returns**: reconcile one day at a time by opening value, capital movement, return drivers, net profit or loss, and closing value.
* **Investment map**: view holdings as a treemap sized by market value and coloured by return performance.
* **FX report**: review currency exposure and the FX component of gains and losses.
* **Benchmarking analytics**: compare portfolio value growth with saved targets
such as S\&P 500, listed stocks, CPI plus a margin, or a fixed annual return.

Most standard reports let you filter, adjust columns or chart settings, and export to CSV, Excel, or PDF. Larger reports may briefly show structured placeholders while the latest data and your saved views load. Amounts that reduce the portfolio, such as capital repayments and losses, are shown in brackets on screen and in exports. Increases are shown without brackets.

Entity filters respect ownership weights. For example, if one entity owns 50% of an investment, entity-level reports show 50% of that investment's value, gain or loss, income, fees, and transaction activity. Reports without an entity filter show the full investment once.

## Reports on mobile

In the mobile app, open an organisation and tap **Reports**. Use **Standard** for the mobile report library or **Published** for fixed reports that have already been shared.

The first choices under **Standard** are **Daily returns** and **Investment map**.

Use **Daily returns** when you want to reconcile recent portfolio movement one day at a time. The mobile view opens on the latest day, then lets you move through earlier dates in the selected period. Each day shows the opening value, closing value, profit or loss, income, transactions, and the gain or loss for each investment.

Use **Investment map** when you want a quick view of where value sits and which holdings are driving performance. The mobile view shows an interactive heat map where larger tiles represent larger market values, and colour shows whether each holding gained or lost value over the selected period. Tap a tile to see the holding's market value, period return, income, category, and latest valuation date.

Under **Published**, use search to find a report by its name, pack, section, or creator. Tap a report to open its fixed, interactive view and move through the published sections. Select **Download PDF** when you want to save a copy or share it using your device's sharing options.

A published report is a snapshot of the information available when it was published. It does not update when the portfolio changes later. Open a newer published report when you need the latest available snapshot.

The mobile reports are designed for quick review while you are away from your desk. Use InvestSync on the web when you need to create or publish a pack, or use the full report controls.

## Daily value report

Use the Daily value report when you need to explain what changed in the portfolio over a day, week, or month.

The top of the report shows the latest portfolio value, the selected period change, net profit or loss, and unrealised profit or loss. Use **Daily**, **Weekly**, or **Monthly** to choose the level of detail. Daily focuses on one date, Weekly groups the selected week, and Monthly reviews the visible month.

Use the portfolio value chart to see how the portfolio has moved across the selected range. Choose **1M**, **3M**, **6M**, **1Y**, or **Max** to adjust the chart period. Turn on **Cost basis** or **Unrealised** when you want to compare market value with the amount invested or the unrealised result.

Use the returns chart to compare the movement for each day, week, or month. Switch between **Net P/L**, **Realised**, **Unrealised**, **FX**, and **Income** to focus on the part of return you are reviewing. Selecting a point or bar updates the report to that date, week, or month.

Use the month selector to choose the date, week, or month you want to review. The main table shows each investment that contributed to the selected period's movement, split into price movement, FX movement, realised profit or loss, income, fees, and net impact.

Use the transaction list below the driver table when you need to connect the movement back to recorded buys, sells, income, or fees. The weekly summary helps you check whether the month has been driven by one week, one day, or several smaller movements.

Use **Excel** or **CSV** when the numbers need to be reviewed in a spreadsheet. Use **PDF** when the month needs to be included in a meeting pack or client update.

Before sharing, check the selected month, any entity or category filters, and the selected export months.

## Daily returns report

Use the Daily returns report when you need to reconcile a single day's movement from opening value to closing value.

Move backwards or forwards through the available dates, or return to the latest day. **Latest** opens the most recent day where every investment has a synced valuation. If you move forward to a day that is still syncing, InvestSync carries forward the prior closing value for investments without a fresh daily value and keeps their return drivers at zero until the valuation arrives. Select the syncing message to see which investments are waiting for their daily values, then use **Resynchronise this day** to rebuild the selected day's value for an affected investment.

The table separates each investment's movement into opening value, purchases, sales, price movement, FX movement, realised profit or loss, income, fees, net profit or loss, percentage change, and closing value. Use **Columns** to show or hide the fields you need, including opening value per unit and closing value per unit when you want to review the unit price behind the value movement. Exports use the same visible columns as the table. Use **Group by** when you want to review the same figures by category before drilling into individual investments. Category groups use the category colours from Investment settings, so the daily returns view matches the rest of your reports.

Daily returns follows your selected light or dark display mode. Tables, totals, row details, and movement explanations stay readable in either mode.

Expand an investment row to see the supporting movement detail for that day. When available, use **Analyse movement with AI** to get a plain-English explanation of the movement using the recorded portfolio information and relevant market context. FX is only discussed when the investment is held in a different currency from your reporting currency — for example, a USD-listed holding in an NZD portfolio.

Use **Export** to download the selected day's table. **PDF** produces a branded InvestSync summary suitable for meeting packs. **Excel** includes a formatted worksheet with totals and calculated fields. **CSV** provides the same figures in a simple file for import elsewhere. Only the columns currently visible in the table are included in each export.

When Daily returns is included in a report pack, the pack keeps the columns, grouping, movement setting, and Investment A-Z or Z-A sort you choose in Edit, including opening and closing value per unit when selected. The selected day's opening value, closing value, and return drivers match the standalone Daily returns report. Pack PDFs use a wide table layout for the daily investment breakdown so the figures remain readable in meeting papers.

Published report links show the InvestSync logo in the top-left corner. People viewing a shared report can switch between light and dark mode from the top-right of the page. Shared reports adjust for phones, tablets, and desktop screens. On phones, tables are shown as labelled cards so clients can read each figure without losing the row context. On tablets and desktop, wider tables remain available for detailed review. For Daily returns, the shared view also keeps the day summary and grouped movement columns, so clients can review opening value, capital movement, return drivers, net profit or loss, and closing value in the same order as the main report. Use **Expand table** when the daily investment breakdown is wider than the page.

Before sharing or discussing the report, check the selected date and any entity, category, listed status, or tag filters.

## Category allocation report

Use the Category allocation report when you need to explain where portfolio value is invested.

The top of the report shows the portfolio value, the value included after any filters, the largest category, and the largest subcategory. The chart can show categories only, subcategories only, or both together. In the combined chart, the inner ring shows categories and the outer ring shows the subcategories inside them.

Use **Hide categories below** to remove very small categories from the view when they distract from the main allocation story. The category summary shows totals by category, while the subcategory detail explains the parts inside each category.

Use:

* **PDF** for a polished meeting pack or client-ready summary with the selected chart view and allocation tables.
* **Excel** when reviewers need separate summary, category, and subcategory worksheets.
* **CSV** when the allocation needs to be moved into another system.

Before sharing, check that the filters, chart detail, and hidden small categories match the audience.

## Transactions report

Use the Transactions report when you need a clear ledger of portfolio activity for review, client reporting, or supporting schedules.

Filter by date, investment, transaction type, or search term, then choose the columns you want to include. The figures and visible columns in the export match the report view on screen.

Use **PDF** when the ledger needs to be shared in a meeting pack or saved as a formal record. The selected date range is shown at the top of the PDF so readers can confirm the period before reviewing the transactions. Use **Excel** when someone needs to sort or add notes, and **CSV** when the data needs to move into another system.

Before exporting, check the date range, filters, and visible columns match the review period and audience.

## Investments table

Use the Investments table when you need a detailed holdings schedule for review, export, or a report pack.

Set the date range before reviewing performance. You can choose quick options such as **Month to date**, **Quarter to date**, or **Year to date**, or enter custom start and end dates. The opening balance and performance figures follow the selected dates, so the table reflects the same review period you plan to discuss or share.

Use **Columns** to show or hide fields. Add **Opening balance** when you want reviewers to compare the start of the period with the latest market value and period performance.

Use **PDF** when the table is going into a board paper, trustee pack, or client meeting pack. The PDF keeps the same visible columns, column order, grouping, and totals shown on screen, and lays wide tables out in a landscape format so investment names and figures remain easier to read. Use **Excel** when reviewers need to sort, filter, or add their own notes, and **CSV** when the information needs to move into another system.

Before sharing the PDF, check:

* The date range matches the period being discussed.
* The visible columns and column order match the audience.
* Grouping and totals are turned on where they help the reader.
* Any entity, category, or tag filters are correct.

## Income report

Use the Income report when you need a focused schedule of income and realised outcomes for review, client reporting, or supporting workpapers.

The report can include:

* **Dividends**, **interest**, and **PIE income**, including gross amount, net amount, tax deducted, tax credits, reporting date, and income method where recorded.
* **Realised gains and losses** from disposals where a realised amount has been recorded.
* **Fees** and **capital repayments** so reviewers can see related cash-flow items in the same period.

Choose the income items you want to include, then refine the table with search, investment, and date filters. You can also show or hide columns before exporting. The table includes a totals row for the selected items and visible columns, and can be grouped by category, subcategory, or income type.

Use:

* **PDF** when you need a readable schedule for a client, trustee, director, or meeting pack.
* **Excel** when the reviewer wants to sort, total, or add working-paper notes.
* **CSV** when another system or adviser needs the data in a simple file.

Before exporting, check the date range, selected income items, visible columns, and whether any entity filter is active.

## Investment returns report

Use the Investment returns report when you need to explain how each investment performed over a selected period.

Start by choosing the start date and end date. The table shows each investment's opening market value, closing market value, purchases, sales, realised gain, unrealised gain, income, total return, capital adjustments, cash movement, ROI, and last price update. Income includes dividends, interest, partnership allocations, and PIE income that belongs in the selected period.

Capital repayments and loan repayments are shown as **Capital adjustments**. They reduce the amount of capital still invested, but they are not treated as an unrealised gain or loss. If a loan principal repayment and interest are received together, record the principal as a loan repayment or capital repayment, and record the interest separately as **Interest**.

Xero-linked bank accounts are included as cash holdings. Their balance movement is not treated as an unrealised gain or loss. For cash holdings, return and ROI are based on interest earned during the period, with ROI calculated against the average monthly closing balance across the cash holdings in the report. That cash balance is counted once in the report total, even when interest and balances are recorded against separate cash holdings.

The **Cash movement** column shows the change in cash holding balances that is not investment return. Use it with purchases, sales, capital adjustments, realised gain, and unrealised gain when explaining how opening market value moves to closing market value.

Click any column heading to sort the table. Use **Group by** to organise investments by category, platform, or advisor, then use **Then by** when you want a second level such as subcategory or advisor.

Use **Columns** to choose the fields shown in the report and place them in the order you want. Saved views remember the column selection, column order, filters, sorting, and grouping so recurring board or committee reports can be reopened with the same layout.

When Investment returns is included in a report pack, the pack keeps the filters, grouping, sort order, and columns you choose in Edit. Preview, PDF downloads, published links, and scheduled emails use that saved layout each time the pack runs.

Exports use the same visible columns, column order, sorting, and grouping shown on screen. Grouped exports show a clear group heading, list the investments, then place subtotals and totals at the bottom of each group. PDF exports start with a report totals summary and also include a final report total at the bottom, so reviewers can check the full-period result before and after reading the grouped sections.

Use this report for board papers, investment committee reviews, and conversations where the movement in value needs to be separated from buying, selling, income, or price updates.

Before exporting, check:

* The reporting period is correct.
* The saved view, visible columns, and column order match the review pack or meeting paper.
* The sort order and grouping match the story you want to present.
* Any entity filter reflects the audience for the report.
* The **Last price update** column is recent enough for the decision being made.
* Sold holdings show the expected sale date.
* Investments with missing or old valuations are reviewed before the report is shared.

Use **PDF** for meeting papers and **Excel** when a reviewer wants to add notes or compare figures outside InvestSync.

## Investment map

Use the Investment map when you want a quick visual view of where portfolio value sits and which holdings are driving performance.

Each tile is sized by market value at the end of the selected reporting period. Colour shows return performance for that period: losses use a soft red scale and gains use a soft green scale. Small movements stay pale, while larger gains or losses stand out more clearly. Grey tiles mean InvestSync does not have enough information to calculate a return for that holding.

Use the reporting period control to choose the dates you want to review. For most investments, the map compares the period return with the opening market value plus purchases during the period, while capital and loan repayments are treated as capital adjustments rather than performance losses. For cash holdings, the map compares interest earned with the average monthly closing balance for the selected period.

On the web, hover over a tile to see the investment name, market value, period return, return basis, and any category details available. On mobile, tap a tile to select it and review the same key details below the map. Use grouping and filters on the web to focus the map by category, subcategory, listing status, tags, or update date before exporting.

## FX report

Use the FX report to see how currency movements have affected investments held in a currency that differs from your reporting currency.

Choose the start date and end date before reviewing the report. Use quick options such as **Last 30 days**, **This month**, **Quarter to date**, or **Year to date**, or enter custom dates when you need a specific review period.

The top of the report shows the overall result first, then separates:

* **FX gain/loss**: the movement caused by exchange rates changing.
* **Price gain/loss**: the movement caused by the investment price changing in its own currency.
* **Total unrealised gain/loss**: the combined movement from FX and price changes.

Rates are shown as **1 reporting currency unit equals the displayed investment currency amount**. For example, if your reporting currency is NZD and the investment is in USD, the rate shows how much USD equals 1 NZD.

A stronger reporting currency can reduce the reporting value of a foreign-currency investment. In that case, the FX movement is shown as a loss. A weaker reporting currency can increase the reporting value and is shown as a gain.

Use **Currency focus** to view all currency pairs or narrow the investment table to one pair. Turn on **Hide same-currency pairs** when you only want to review holdings where the investment currency differs from the reporting currency, such as excluding NZD/NZD rows. The investment detail table then shows the FX movement, price movement, total movement, market value, acquisition rate, and current rate for the selected date range.

Use **Export CSV** when someone needs the figures in a spreadsheet. Use **Export PDF** for a meeting pack, adviser note, committee paper, or client-ready summary. Use **Copy link** when you want another InvestSync user to open the same report view.

## Benchmarking analytics

Use Benchmarking analytics when you want to compare portfolio value growth with
the targets your organisation uses for review.

Benchmarks are saved for the organisation, so everyone works from the same list.
An owner or admin can add benchmarks from **Planning > Benchmarks**. Common
choices include:

* S\&P 500.
* A listed stock.
* CPI plus a margin, such as CPI + 2%.
* A fixed annual target, such as 7%.

The report starts with the portfolio value at the beginning of the selected
period. It then shows what that starting value would have grown to under each
benchmark. The comparison is shown as a return percentage and as a value
difference, with wording that explains whether the portfolio was ahead, behind,
or close to the benchmark.

CPI benchmarks use the organisation country by default. You can choose another
country when the benchmark is created.

## Report packs

Report packs are for recurring or formal reporting. A pack can include standard reports and custom pages in the order you choose.

When a report pack is open, the browser tab shows the pack name followed by the organisation name. This makes it easier to tell similar packs apart when several report tabs are open.

Use report packs when you want to:

* Build a monthly or quarterly investment committee pack.
* Combine holdings, transactions, allocation, FX, and commentary into one review.
* Publish a fixed snapshot for later reference.
* Download a complete PDF.
* Email a pack to yourself or scheduled recipients.
* Keep personal packs separate from organisation-wide packs.

## Create a report pack

1. Go to **Reports**.
2. Select **New pack**.
3. Give the pack a clear name and optional description.
4. Choose whether it is **Personal** or **Organisation**.
5. The pack opens as a draft. Use **Add report** in the pack bar to add standard reports and custom pages.
6. Reorder reports from the report list in the pack bar.
7. When the pack is ready, select **Make live**.

Use **Personal** for working drafts or private review packs. Use **Organisation** when the pack should be visible to the wider team. A draft pack is only visible to you until you make it live.

## Add and arrange content

Inside a pack, you can add:

* Reports, including allocation, holdings, transactions, income, investment returns, Returns, daily returns, investment map, FX, and benchmarking.
* Custom pages for commentary, summaries, notes, or analysis.

Use **Returns** when you want one investment reconciliation for the full pack period. It starts with each investment's opening value, combines capital movements and return drivers across the period, and finishes with the closing value. Its Preview, published view, and PDF use the same summary and grouped movement layout as Daily returns, with the wording adjusted for the full period. Use **Daily returns** when you want to review one day at a time.

Use custom page titles that match the audience, such as “Executive summary”, “Quarterly commentary”, or “Matters for review”.

Use the report list in the pack bar to move between reports, change their order, or remove a report. The pack bar also shows where you are in the pack, and gives you **Add report**, the reporting period, **Download PDF**, and **Email me**.

## Conditional reports

Conditional reports let a pack skip a section when it is not needed for the selected period.

For a Transactions report or custom page, open the report selector in the pack bar and choose the condition icon beside that report. Turn on **Include only when transactions exist** when the report should appear only if the period has transactions. The selector shows **Conditional** beside that report while the setting is on.

When the condition is on and there are no transactions for the period, InvestSync leaves that report out of PDF downloads, shared report links, and scheduled emails. The report remains in the pack, so it will appear again automatically when a future period has transactions. If a skipped custom page includes AI analysis blocks, InvestSync does not refresh that analysis for the skipped send.

On a custom page, use the drag handle on each block to rearrange paragraphs, headings, charts, and analysis blocks before saving the page. When you scroll down the page, a small add bar appears at the bottom so you can add new content without returning to the top.

Chart blocks let you add visual comparisons to a custom page. Select **Chart**, choose the data source, set the chart type, and preview the chart before saving. You can chart portfolio performance, holdings, allocation, investment returns, top movers, listed market symbols, or comparisons such as portfolio return against Apple over the report period. You can also choose whether the chart shows a legend, tooltips, and a data table underneath.

The chart designer has two modes. Use **Manual builder** when you want to choose the data source, labels, chart type, legend, tooltips, and supporting table yourself. Use **AI creator** when you want to describe the chart you need and let InvestSync draft the settings. AI suggestions return to the manual builder for review before you save.

When a report pack is generated, InvestSync refreshes chart data for the pack period. Published report links keep the chart interactive, including tooltips and legends when they are turned on, while still showing the fixed snapshot that was generated for that report.

AI analysis blocks can help prepare concise commentary for custom pages. The top gainers and top decliners options write a short digest for each major mover, starting with the portfolio impact before explaining any confirmed news or likely context. If no clear reason is available, the commentary should say that directly rather than forcing a story. For ETFs, the commentary stays at sector, region, exposure, or benchmark level unless detailed attribution is available.

For broader analysis, describe the market, company, or listed investment context you want covered. InvestSync can combine the organisation's portfolio records with current market information while keeping the commentary anchored to the pack's reporting period.

When AI commentary includes a table, Preview and published report links show it as a structured table. Readers can sort it by selecting a column heading, and wide tables can be scrolled horizontally on smaller screens. PDF downloads include the same information in a print-friendly table.

For listed holdings, top mover commentary checks live web sources whenever it is generated. If that research cannot be completed, InvestSync stops the analysis block and a scheduled send does not go ahead with unsupported commentary. Retry the analysis or delivery once live research is available again.

For holdings in another currency, AI commentary uses the recorded price movement and FX movement where available, so readers can see whether the return came from the investment price, currency movement, or both.

Review AI commentary in Preview before sharing. Check the dates, currencies, listings, and confidence level, especially where a holding trades in more than one market or its price currency differs from the portfolio reporting currency.

## Edit and Preview

Every report in a pack has the same two views, switched from the pack bar:

* **Edit** shows the working version of the report. Adjust filters, columns, and grouping — the pack remembers your choices for each report. For custom pages, Edit is where you write, rearrange, design charts, and save content.
* **Preview** shows the report as a finished section — the same tables and charts that appear in the PDF, in emailed packs, and on published report links. The columns, grouping, and filters you set in Edit carry through to Preview and to everything you share. Use Preview to check each section reads well before you send it.

Dates in report packs are shown as day/month/year, such as **09/07/2026**, or as a full date such as **9 July 2026** when more space is available.

What you see in Preview is what recipients receive, so reviewing each section in Preview is the quickest pre-send check.

## Set the reporting period

Each pack has one reporting period, set from the date range control in the pack bar. Every report in the pack uses this period — reports inside a pack do not have their own date pickers. Each report shows a **Pack period** label so you always know the dates in use.

You can choose a preset that moves with the send date, such as **This week**, **Last 7 days**, **Month to date**, or **Year to date**, or choose fixed calendar dates. **This week** covers the current week to date, from Monday through the preview or send date. Presets are anchored to the day a scheduled email goes out, so a weekly pack always covers the right week. Use **Preview as at** to check how the pack would look if it were sent on a different date — this changes your view only, not the saved pack.

Before publishing or sending a pack, confirm:

* The reporting period is correct.
* Each report looks right in Preview.
* Any custom commentary has been reviewed.

## Drafts, published reports, and schedules

The Reports page has four tabs:

* **Packs**: all personal and organisation packs visible to you.
* **Drafts**: saved report snapshots that have not been published yet.
* **Published**: fixed snapshots that have been published.
* **Schedule**: upcoming automated deliveries for report packs.

Selecting a tab changes the view straight away and keeps the page address in
step, so you can return to the same view later.

Publishing creates a fixed version for reference. If the underlying portfolio changes later, create and publish a new snapshot when you need an updated version.

The **Drafts** and **Published** tabs show reports in tables. Each row shows the report name, pack, status, access, date, who created it, and the next action available. Use search to find a report by name, pack, person, or access setting.

Published report rows also show how the link is protected. A row may show that a password is required, that only approved email addresses can open it, or that the link expires on a set date. Use **Link settings** to change those options before sharing the link with clients or reviewers.

Admins can review published report activity from **Report usage** in the admin area. The report shows when shared report links were opened, which report and organisation they belonged to, whether the viewer reached the report or stopped at a protected link, and whether InvestSync recognised the viewer as a signed-in user. If the viewer is not signed in, the activity is shown as anonymous.

## Schedule delivery

Use **Automation** on a pack when recipients should receive it on a regular schedule.

You can set:

* Daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly frequency.
* Day of week or day of month.
* Recipient email addresses.
* Live link access.
* Email title and message.

Use **Live link access** to choose how recipients can open the shared report link:

* **Anyone with link**: the email includes a live report link that opens without extra checks.
* **Email recipients only**: only people receiving the scheduled email can open the live link.
* **Specified emails only**: only the approved email addresses you add can open the live link.
* **Password protected**: recipients need the password you set before they can open the live link. Share the password separately.
* **No live link**: the email sends the PDF only and does not include a live report link.

Use **Add detail** beside the email title when you want the title to include live details, such as today's date, total market value, or total cost basis. InvestSync replaces those details when the email is sent.

Add at least one recipient before enabling scheduled delivery. For one-off distribution, use **Email me** or **Send now** where available.

Report pack emails are sent from **[reports@investsync.com](mailto:reports@investsync.com)**. This address is not monitored, so let recipients know to contact you directly rather than replying to the email.

## Export and share

Use PDF when you need a polished pack for a meeting, board paper, or stakeholder update. Use CSV or Excel exports from individual standard reports when someone needs to perform further analysis.

When you are viewing a report pack, use the pack bar to move between reports, switch between Edit and Preview, adjust the reporting period, download the pack as a PDF, or email it to yourself. The report selector also shows where you are in the pack so you can check the order before exporting.

When you select **Email me**, InvestSync confirms that the pack will be emailed shortly. You can keep working while the pack is prepared and sent to your account email address.

When you select **Download PDF**, InvestSync opens a preparation window while the file is created. Larger packs can take a little longer. When the PDF is ready, the download starts automatically.

The downloaded PDF uses the saved content in the pack. Review each section in Preview, and update any custom commentary or analysis before selecting **Download PDF**. If the reporting period starts and ends on the same day, PDFs, shared report links, and emailed packs show that single date rather than repeating it as a range.

A **Returns** section shows one investment breakdown for the full pack period. A **Daily returns** section shows the selected day's breakdown, followed by daily and weekly summaries. Both use the same reconciliation layout in Preview and PDF, and keep the columns, grouping, and sorting chosen in Edit.

Before sharing, review:

* The pack reporting period.
* Each section in Preview.
* Filters and visible columns in Edit.
* Any custom commentary.
* Recipient list.
