InvestSync allows you to create and manage multiple organizations, each with its own portfolio, settings, and team members. This feature is ideal for users who manage investments across different contexts, such as personal portfolios, family investments, or professional accounts.

Understanding Organizations

In InvestSync, an organization represents a separate investment entity with:

  • Its own dashboard and portfolio data
  • Separate investment tracking
  • Unique document storage
  • Independent reporting
  • Specific user access controls

Creating Organizations

To create a new organization:

  1. From the organization dropdown in the header, select “Create Organization”
  2. Enter the organization name
  3. Add an optional description
  4. Choose organization settings and preferences
  5. Confirm to create the organization

Managing Organizations

Accessing Organizations

Switch between your organizations:

  1. Click on the organization dropdown in the header
  2. Select the organization you want to access
  3. The interface will update to display that organization’s data

Starring Organizations

Mark frequently used organizations as favorites:

  1. From the organization list, click the star icon next to an organization
  2. Starred organizations appear at the top of your organization list for quick access

  1. Navigate to the organization
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Update organization details:
    • Name and description
    • Currency preferences
    • Fiscal year settings
    • Reporting preferences
    • User permissions

Team Collaboration

Inviting Team Members

Share access to an organization:

  1. Go to the organization’s Settings
  2. Select the “Members” tab
  3. Click “Invite Member”
  4. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
  5. Assign a role (Admin or Member)
  6. Send the invitation

User Roles and Permissions

InvestSync offers different access levels:

  • Admin: Full access to the organization, including settings, portfolios, and member management
  • Member: View and interact with the organization’s data, with restrictions on certain sensitive actions

Activity Tracking

Monitor actions within your organization:

  1. Access the Activity Log in organization settings
  2. View a chronological list of actions taken by team members
  3. Filter by user, date, or action type

Data Isolation

  • Each organization’s data is securely isolated
  • Actions in one organization do not affect others
  • Dashboard and reports are specific to the active organization

Data Transfer

Transfer data between organizations when needed:

  1. Export data from the source organization
  2. Import the data into the target organization
  3. Validate the imported data
