What is InvestSync?

InvestSync helps finance and investment teams keep portfolios, documents, accounting links, and follow-up work in one place. Use it to:
  • Maintain separate workspaces for each organisation, trust, fund, company, or client group.
  • Store and review investment documents.
  • Track holdings, transactions, performance, and supporting evidence.
  • Connect everyday finance tools such as Xero, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft calendars.
  • Group investments with tags such as liquidity, strategy, risk, entity, or reporting treatment.

How InvestSync is organised

An organisation is the main workspace. Each organisation has its own members, settings, documents, investments, reporting currency, tax details, tags, and integrations. Most teams create one organisation per reporting group, such as:
  • A family trust
  • A company investment portfolio
  • A fund
  • A client group
  • A personal portfolio
If you work across several organisations, use the organisation switcher to move between them.

Basic and advanced use

  • Basic use: keep one organisation up to date with investments, transactions, documents, and reports.
  • Advanced use: manage several organisations, connect accounting and document storage tools, use tags for reporting, and prepare recurring report packs.
  1. Create or choose the right organisation.
  2. Confirm the organisation name, country, reporting currency, balance month, and tax details in Settings → Organisation.
  3. Invite the team members who need access.
  4. Add investment categories, entities, and any tags your reporting process relies on.
  5. Connect Xero if you want accounting sync.
  6. Choose document storage: InvestSync managed, Google Drive, or Microsoft SharePoint.
  7. Upload documents or add investments and transactions manually.
Keep organisation settings and document storage decisions aligned with your internal controls. InvestSync access and external storage access can be managed separately.
